I was curious to join the webinar on Generative AI organised by GSDC, as i wanted to understand what is market perspective. It was wonderful to listen to Jepson Taylor about new ways of how AI is changing the world and what are the pros and cons of the same. So I was very curious to ask questions about the negative side of GAI. As an IT professional I know that AI is new way of working bit at the same time we have to understand this technology really well. As we understood in the webinar how this is now used in creating amazing and mind-boggling images which we never had thought will be done in matter of minutes or the code written in few hours which would have taken months or a year. I was very much involved in the conversation and it was fascinating. So, my question was how can we make sure it does not get into wrong hands, what will it be converted into when used to military and so on on. Answer is it is evolving every second and yes we have to be vigilant and be careful with wrong elements using it , like deepfake which is becoming so common. Finally, my take is yes we need seminars like this to make people understand that we have to be vigilant and understand humanity side first when implementing AI and avoid it taking bais decisions. One of the greatest perks of being a conference producer is the unusual privilege to speak to leaders across various fields - in my case, it has ranged from digital marketers to retail to supply chain. It's probably one of the most educational professions you can find. 😂 One of the key topics that have centred the illuminating conversations I've had in recent years is the topic of sustainability, and I credit the brilliant leaders I've conversed with for cultivating an interest in the subject matter in me. Due to both professional and personal reasons, I wanted to learn more about sustainability, and that's exactly what I did during my recent Christmas and New Year breaks. In addition to the GSDC Certification in Sustainability Coaching, I've also taken the initiative to complete an additional GSDC's Sustainability Professional certification. I have so many exciting plans on what I can do to share the knowledge I have gained through my recent experiences (and will be gaining through continuous learning in the future). First up, I'm planning to create a series of content on LinkedIn. I'm also thinking of putting together some free templates and resources to guide both businesses and individuals through sustainability transformation. I'm creating the latter for my own needs, but it would give me such great pleasure to share them with you too if it can help you and/or the company you work for take a few helpful steps towards sustainability. So watch this space! For those who are curious about the sustainability coaching course I took, I highly recommend it! The course takes a look at ESG sustainability transformation through the lens of coaching, which I personally think is an incredibly powerful technique to inspire mindset shifts towards a greener world and a more empathic society. It's offered by NTUC LearningHub in collaboration with AgileAsia, and led by the trainer Colonel Ranjeev K Babu,VSM, whom I'm sure many of my course mates would also agree is the best part of the course because he's incredible. At the end of the course, you get to sit in a GSDC - Global Skill Development Council certification exam. The recorded videos were difficult to understand, as the female spoke rapidly with poor english and closed captioning was not offered. In addition, there was one Powerpoint slide per video that did not cover all the information provided. The alternative I was offered was a Guide, which includes very helpful information. There are typos and some gender bias. If this is intended to compliment the live sessions with Deepak, my recommendation would be to collaborate with him and enhance that guide significantly. Make it relevant to his sessions and the final exam. Also to include closed captioning in videos. The Capstone Project is identified as a component of this Certification. This was not addressed in my experience of the course. If this is no longer active, I recommend removing it. I learned very late in the course that I had outdated content in the LMS and am very grateful to Deepak for his guidance and providing updated material so I could complete the final exam within the set timeframe. I look forward to reviewing the Expert Talk Series. The main result of taking this course is enhanced skill in curating effective learning experiences and partnering with stakeholders impacted by those trainings. Read More

I was curious to join the webinar on Generative AI organised by GSDC, as i wanted to understand what is market perspective. It was wonderful to listen to Jepson Taylor about new ways of how AI is changing the world and what are the pros and cons of the same. So I was very curious to ask questions about the negative side of GAI. As an IT professional I know that AI is new way of working bit at the same time we have to understand this technology really well. As we understood in the webinar how this is now used in creating amazing and mind-boggling images which we never had thought will be done in matter of minutes or the code written in few hours which would have taken months or a year. I was very much involved in the conversation and it was fascinating. So, my question was how can we make sure it does not get into wrong hands, what will it be converted into when used to military and so on on. Answer is it is evolving every second and yes we have to be vigilant and be careful with wrong elements using it , like deepfake which is becoming so common. Finally, my take is yes we need seminars like this to make people understand that we have to be vigilant and understand humanity side first when implementing AI and avoid it taking bais decisions. 1. Firstly, i am very appreciative towards the regional manager of the Learning ... 1. Firstly, i am very appreciative towards the regional manager of the Learning and Development Certification Course. He had to drop personal emails to me due to the upgrading of the server and somehow, my registered email was not able to receive any mail from GSDC upon registration. So, truly appreciative towards his prompt response. 2. Some of the modules provided insights to L&D. So indeed i got to gain knowledge after this course. 3. Regarding the PDF course notes i was given, much of the content in the given notes were not mentioned in the lecture. There was a chapter with just 1 to 2 pages of content in the notes while the lecturer could talk for up to 20 minutes. There were missing chapters in the PDF notes with reference to the lectures. Ended up i spent nearly 50% of the time pausing the video to copy the powerpoint slides when having the lecturer to read through some of them in less than 2 minutes. 4. As described in one the chapters, the different learning styles, auditory has been my worst. In the module, it talked about capturing and keeping attention of the different learners via media, activities and many other examples which i agreed as it is very important to keep the learners engaged. But during the 16 hours video content, it was a test to my auditory skills. The lecturer seemed to be reading off scripts and she just went on for up to 20 minutes with reference to 1 slide. 5. Another test of my auditory skill came as the lecturer has a very heavy accent. There were many times that i had to drag the video back just to understand what she was saying (as she was not referring to the notes or giving examples). I must highlight by no means am i against any race or people and i have utmost respect for all cultures and religions. Perhaps i was the only one that couldn't really understand her accent and i have no suggestions on how to improve as she could be the principle trainer to this topic thus, her recordings. The combination of her accent and her lecturing for 16 hours with references to slides full of words made it challenging during the process of this course. 1. Firstly, i am very appreciative towards the regional manager of the Learning ... 1. Firstly, i am very appreciative towards the regional manager of the Learning and Development Certification Course. He had to drop personal emails to me due to the upgrading of the server and somehow, my registered email was not able to receive any mail from GSDC upon registration. So, truly appreciative towards his prompt response. 2. Some of the modules provided insights to L&D. So indeed i got to gain knowledge after this course. 3. Regarding the PDF course notes i was given, much of the content in the given notes were not mentioned in the lecture. There was a chapter with just 1 to 2 pages of content in the notes while the lecturer could talk for up to 20 minutes. There were missing chapters in the PDF notes with reference to the lectures. Ended up i spent nearly 50% of the time pausing the video to copy the powerpoint slides when having the lecturer to read through some of them in less than 2 minutes. 4. As described in one the chapters, the different learning styles, auditory has been my worst. In the module, it talked about capturing and keeping attention of the different learners via media, activities and many other examples which i agreed as it is very important to keep the learners engaged. But during the 16 hours video content, it was a test to my auditory skills. The lecturer seemed to be reading off scripts and she just went on for up to 20 minutes with reference to 1 slide. 5. Another test of my auditory skill came as the lecturer has a very heavy accent. There were many times that i had to drag the video back just to understand what she was saying (as she was not referring to the notes or giving examples). I must highlight by no means am i against any race or people and i have utmost respect for all cultures and religions. Perhaps i was the only one that couldn't really understand her accent and i have no suggestions on how to improve as she could be the principle trainer to this topic thus, her recordings. The combination of her accent and her lecturing for 16 hours with references to slides full of words made it challenging during the process of this course.
